Antelope Canyon (english)
Naturally Amazing
Antelope Canyon is one of the most beautiful and photogenic natural attractions in the southwestern United States near Page, Arizona. It consists of two magnificent slot canyons, Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. Both canyons are accessible for about 200 meters.
Absolutely, natural beauty, so rare and exquisite...the Navajo people call it “where water makes a picture of itself in the stone”. The heart of Arizona and the soul of the Navajo Nation. For the Navajo people, entering Antelope Canyon is like entering a cathedral.
The views in Antelope Canyon change constantly as the sun moves across the sky, filtering lights softly across the stone walls. These ever-moving sun angles bounce light back and forth across the narrow canyon’s walls, creating a dazzling display of color, light, and shadow, creating a supernatural appearance. The affect is almost surreal, a true natural work of art and color spectacle.
This incredible canyon has been created over millions of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into forms, textures and shapes.
Truly, an experience of deep wonder, tranquility and peace.
