The "Valley of Death" is very worth seeing because of its desert landscape, which is characterized by the heat, up to 86 meters below sea level and offers unique views. More than most national parks, Death Valley lives from its views. The reason is obvious - in the middle of the rather barren desert you will find only a few hiking trails - and those that do exist can only be mastered with great physical effort due to the often enormously high temperatures. Taking pictures in the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes is a great challenge. The effort on the soft and very hot desert sand in temperatures of 45 degrees or more is a real challenge. Badwater, a depression in Death Valley, is amazing - here the crust of the soil consists of hexagonal table salt structures, up to 170 cm thick. Crossing the salt-clay plains is dangerous; often the salt crust over the mud is thin and is not load-bearing.... In Badwater it is so hot that one cannot see clearly. Death Valley is very lively after all - there are constant warnings of rattlesnakes, scorpions and black widows.
